PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Regulatory compliance issues continue to create challenges for credit unions. This workshop will discuss hot compliance topics and offer an in-depth analysis of the most current, proposed and final rules.

About the Instructor - Michael R. Christians, Compliance Attorney

In his role as Compliance Attorney, Michael assists credit unions across the country with ensuring their compliance programs conform to Federal rules. In addition, he helps credit unions strategically plan for upcoming compliance changes, provides counsel relative to current laws and regulations, and offers training and education services to credit union professionals.  As a recognized speaker on the national circuit, Michael regularly presents at CUNA’s compliance schools and individual league-sponsored state events.

Michael has more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry in a variety of legal and compliance related positions. He received his law degree from Drake University Law School and was admitted to the Iowa Bar in April 2014. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Iowa State Bar Association. Michael has earned CUNA’s Credit Union Compliance Expert Designation (CUCE).

Educational Investment
The cost to attend the training is $239 per person. The investment includes all program materials, handouts, lunch and refreshments.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received at the League Office within five business days of the session. Cancellations made less than five business days before the session are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Substitutions are welcome at any time.
