APRIL 24, 2014     |     HISTORIC ACTION PACT BUILDING, MILWAUKEE, WI

Based on the book by Carmen Bowman and LaVrene Norton

In this workshop, the ideas and creative thinking about life in neighborhoods, households and other small communities, found in the Vibrant Living "scrapbook" are engagingly shared. Learn how to unlock independence and foster interdependence, while re-energizing daily living.

  • 'Refrigerator rights' and graceful living abound.
  • When it's your home, it's your home. Home sets the stage for natural engagement: just start something, sing a song, bake a cake, and people come.
  • This is normal, this is home, this is a vibrant daily life.

This workshop will provide you the opportunity to learn how to contribute to this good daily life every day for the people in your care.

The spirit and methodology will inspire you, whether in traditional settings, neighborhoods, or households.

About the presenter:  Glenn Blacklock, MA

During his 15 years as Administrator of Big Meadows Nursing Home in Savanna, IL, Glenn led the organization through their culture change and pioneered many initiatives for elders that challenged what it means to be "frail." Now an Action Pact Consultant, Glenn has developed and leads the workshop "Unlock the Life Within: the Key to Elder Wellness."
