Sword Fighting for Film & Theater

Come join us for an exciting class where you learn to sword fight for theater or film. This class is for beginners and will focus on the basics of theatrical swordfighting, which will then be adapted to film.  Basics will be rooted in the same practices that are used in major motion films and Broadway.  Students will learn techniques and tricks to ensure that there partners are safe and their performance looks real to the audience.

This class is good for anyone who ever secretly wanted to be a pirate, as well, actors looking to boost their resumes to include combat fighting.

The Barn is thrilled to have Chris Pytlak, a professional fight choreographer, who works in theaters in CT and NYC teaching the class.  Chris has worked and trained with many stunt coordinators from Star Wars episode 2 and 3, Spartacus, Power Rangers, The Highlander, Underworld and many more.  He is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors and Art of Combat and founder of NIFT Stage Combat Group.

Class meet Mondays from 6:45PM - 8:15PM
