Wind Powering America

Northeast Regional Meeting

As the three-year WPA Priority State activities come to a close and similar federal funding for medium and low priority states is transitioned to regional outreach activities, the Department of Energy Wind and Water Power Program and Wind Powering America are hosting a series of one-day meetings at strategic locations around the country.  At these meetings representatives from states, WWG members and other interested stakeholders are asked to come and share experiences. Through these events WPA staff and participants will identify lingering deployment barriers, prioritize these barriers and then work in small groups to review successful approaches and discuss potential approaches to address the barriers identified.

The meeting will allow wind stakeholders from across each region to meet and discuss approaches to address the most pressing market barriers, learn from experiences in other states, and help build regional collaboration. WPA will also use the results of each meeting to help direct planning of the WPA All States Summit and potential future program activities.

This meeting is being held at the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (MA DOER). Attendees must be pre-registered and check in at the security desk on the 2nd Floor foyer before being allowed access to the conference room. Space is limited so please register so we may plan accordingly. Registration for this meeting closes Friday, March 18, 2011.
