Paramedic Refresher Course
(Meet all NREMT-P recertification requirements
in 6 days with optional online modules)
March 6-11, 2017
The curriculum guidelines will be the objectives of the 2016 Paramedic National Continued Competency Program (NCCP). The program will consist of a Monday - Thursday lecture and hands-on component, followed by two OPTIONAL days for participants to complete ACLS and PALS if desired. A final component we have added is a module comprising 12 hours of online coursework. These hours are built around the NCCP requirements and will fill in the remaining areas needed for 60 total hours. Completion of the entire classroom and online programs will achieve all 60 hours required for NREMT-P recertification.
Completion of the 32-hour module will meet all 30 hours of the National Competency category and provide 2 additional hours to be utilized for the Individual Competency category. Participants who choose to participate in the ACLS and PALS courses will receive 16 hours to utilize towards the Individual Competency category and possibly towards the Local Competency category (depending on the educational requirements of your employer). .
Participants will be required to complete any online components by 5:00pm on Thursday March 09, 2017 so that course paperwork may be prepared..Southeastern Emergency Equipment Education and Clinical Services staff will assist participants in advising how hours attended could apply hours attended towards the 60-hour Paramedic NCCP requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: The only way to receive the entire 60 hours in the required topic areas is to complete all modules of this course. We will not list or verify outside CE on your paperwork. All classroom and online work is CAPCE approved.

Target Audience
This course is intended for NREMT-Paramedic certified providers who are preparing for NREMT-P recertification and need CE topics/hours to meet refresher requirements. It is also appropriate for individuals who simply need EMT-P level CE for any reason. NC participants should ensure that their EMS System will accept CE from an outside entity.
NORTH CAROLINA PERSONNEL ONLY: If your NC EMT-P credential has EXPIRED you will need to find a refresher program that includes the NCOEMS mandated Technical Scope of Practice Evaluation (TSOPE). This program does not include a TSOPE practical component, and thus cannot be used to renew an EXPIRED credential.
If you do not have a provider and need to re-credential your NC Paramedic we have a mechanism in place to assist you with that. Please contact us for further information.
