Landowners Workshop, Stonington CT

Have you ever considered making your land available for farming?

When you make land available for farming you help secure a future for farming in Connecticut. Farmers are looking for land to rent—from a small vegetable plot to livestock or crops. Productive, sustainable uses for all or parts of your property can bring many rewards!

This free workshop will help you understand your land’s potential for farming and what goes into a good farming arrangement.

  • Realize benefits & opportunities
  • Identify your personal, financial & land use goals
  • Learn how to recruit a farmer-tenant
  • Hear from a private landowner & a farmer who is leasing land

Local refreshments will be served!

Hear from: Rachel Murray & Tess Brown-Lavoie, Land For Good; Selectman Rob & Heidi Simmons (9th generation farmer); Coogan Farm Nature & Heritage Center Representative; and Stone Acres Farm Representative
