Greyhound Boredom Busters Make and Take Workshop

Register for a Special "Greyhound Boredom Busters Make and Take Workshop" with Devene Godau (CPDT-KA) from Trainers Academy where she teaches a popular Greyhounds Only class. In this workshop we will talk about easy ways to add enrichment to your dog’s environment. In addition each participant will have the opportunity to make a snuffle mat. A snuffle mat allows dogs to use their sense of smell to hunt for their food. This not only provides mental and physical stimulation, it slows down dogs that might scarf down their food.

To see what you will be making, check out this link to YouTube:  https://youtu.be/74pPYdIsUm0

Advance Registration is $30 per person (up to two dogs) and includes the making of 1 snuffle mat. Limited spots available for purchase on May 19th, for $38.

Canine enrichment has become very trendy with dog trainers, and for good reason. Proper enrichment can benefit your dog in a multitude of ways, providing much needed mental and physical stimulation. ASPCApro (part of The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) defines canine enrichment as, "Additions to an animal's environment with which the animal voluntarily interacts and, as a result, experiences improved physical and/or psychological health." It is up to their human friends to make sure each dog has exposure to a variety of different enrichment opportunities. This can be as simple as going for walks, or using a variety of food games to create an opportunity for dogs to search, sniff, or hunt for their food.
