The ACT Retreat

We hope you will join us for a faith-filled and fun ACT weekend, where you'll learn about the challenges...and even greater rewards...that come with continuing to develop your faith on the college level!

In Fall 2016, the staffs of the Office of Faith Formation and the Office for Campus Ministry came together to address a growing concern facing young adults today: maintaining faith throughout life's transitions. One such crucial transition is the adjustment from high school to college. With a staggering amount of young adults becoming disconnected from their faith when they enter a university setting, our goal is to provide tools and techniques for maintaing a balanced lifestyle - inslucive of spirituality - upon embarking on their college journey.

The ACT weekend is intended to bring you an array of college transition skills and tools for continued faith involvement on the college level. You will explore concepts like time management, critical thinking, navigating change, and discernment. You will also bear witness to the stories of your college student team members who are currently navigating the transition from high school to college. 

The weekend serves you, the graduating seniors of the Diocese of Fall River, in a way that no other youth ministry program does. It is a unique window into continuing on your faith journey as a college sudent and the challenges and rewards that come with that commitment. By participating in an ACT weekend, you're preparing yourself for a rewarding and enriched future.
