2017 PeaceJam Rocky Mountain

Youth Leadership Conference Mentor Application

Thank you for your interest in being a PeaceJam MENTOR at the Youth Leadership Conference on Saturday, March 17th and Sunday, March 18th, 2017 at Regis University! You'll get to spend the day developing your own leadership and investing in the next generation of peacebuilders. Here's what you need to know:

What is a PeaceJam Mentor?
A PeaceJam Mentor is a person who facilitates small groups of middle and high school youth participants at the annual PeaceJam Youth Conference and/or the PeaceJam Slam. Mentors create the space and energy of the event to ensure that all participants feel welcomed and safe to engage in the challenge topics of social justice and world peace. We welcome all Mentors - shy, outgoing, experienced leaders, first-time mentors, activists, educators, you name it! You will be paired with another Mentor and we will make sure you're well trained before the event. You must be a near-peer, which means college-aged (don't have to actually be in college but must be between the ages of 18 and 25).

2016 PeaceJam Mentor Commitment:

  • Attend the 2017 Conference on Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18 at Regis University in Claver Hall.
  • Arrive at 7:00 AM and stay until 6:00 PM
  • Attend the mandatory Mentor Training on Satuday, March 11 from 9 AM to 5 PM. Location: Regis University, Claver Hall, Room 210
