Taking the “Big Leap” into the New Year
Launching Into a Successful 2012

Presenter:  Jennifer Moore, LCSW; President of NASW GA Chapter

As we prepare to get ready for a new and exciting year in 2012, Ms. Moore will review some of author Gay Hendricks’s recommendations for success from his bestselling book, The Big Leap.  In this motivational and inspiring presentation –which will focus on self-care for the attendee - Ms. Moore will present some of the theories behind Mr. Hendricks’s ideas.    According to Mr. Hendricks’s – “We have an inner thermostat that determines the amount of love and success we allow ourselves. When we exceed our setting, we tend to sabotage ourselves so that we can return to the old, familiar zone where we feel secure. The thermostat was set before you could think for yourself, usually in early childhood.”  During Ms. Moore’s presentation – she will review the different steps that one can go through to take that “big leap” (which can correspond to the “New Year’s Resolutions” with a look forward to 2012) and reach our maximum potential in both our personal and professional lives.

Agenda

  •  Overview of the premise of The Big Leap.   Review Gay Hendrick’s theories/thoughts re: our innermost thermostat and reframing this.
  • Preparing for Your Big Leap: The One Problem and How to Solve It
  • Making the Leap: Dismantling the Foundation of the Problem
  • Getting Specic: How to Spot the Upper Limit Problem in Daily Life
