ATA Road Show Seminar-Birmingham-February 12, 2020

The Alabama Turfgrass Association is on the road again in 2020 bringing you great educational opportunities. Join us in Birmingham, Alabama on Wednesday, February 12th, at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. This seminar will feature educational sessions on the most current topics for turfgrass managers. Pesticide re-certification points will be available for Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and Mississippi and Georgia. We are also offering GCSAA PDI points and Certified Crop Advisors points.

Join us in Birmingham during the cold, winter month of February for a great day of education with other turfgrass managers around the area.

Why should you soil test? What can a soil test provide for you, and how can you use this information in your program? This talk will cover the utility of soil tests, and how to get useful information from the soil test report. 1:00 pm Drone Technology to Improve Turfgrass Management Efficiency

Turfgrass managers have seen unbelievable change in equipment, tools and technology. It may seem farfetched, but in the near future drones may be standard equipment for turfgrass managers across our industry. This presentation will discuss the history, types and uses of drones. Registration and pilot certification will also be covered along with the different sensors and cameras being used today.
