Register for the 2013 Poa annua Classic
Join your colleagues for the popular, the Poa annua Classic, and support turfgrass research! 100% of the proceeds from this event are donated to the Alabama Turfgrass Research Foundation (ATRF). To date, ATRF has funded over $120,000 in turfgrass research. We have more work to do, but we need your support to ensure we continue offering beneficial research. Come out on Monday, April 7th, to the Montgomery Country Club in the capital city and join the cause!
We have a new venue and a new format for the tournament this year. Lunch will be served on the course and various holes sponsored by our industry suppliers, we'll have two hole-in-one contests and we'll complete the day with a reception during the awards ceremony. As always, we'll have a great educational session planned for you. Scott McElroy, PhD of Auburn University will present: "Reporting from the Front Lines of Turfgrass Weed Control." The tournament will be a four-man scramble tournament. Golfers will be paired into teams, however you are welcome to bring a team. Invite your peers, friends, bosses, greens chairman, clients, etc.; the more the merrier!
Tee sign sponsorships are also available to help support turfgrass research. All sponsorships will include a listing in the event program, tournament signage and listing in the Turf Times magazine. What a great way to show your support of our industry and turfgrass research!
