For 114 years, the Wesley Community Center has been supporting and empowering families in Houston’s Near Northside, through our mission of investing in the potential of individuals and creating opportunities to strengthen families and build neighborhoods. Our annual luncheon celebrates the programs and services that have impacted over 20,000 Houstonians.

Keynote speaker Edward M. Emmett has been a Harris County Judge since March 6, 2007. Judge Emmett, working with the county commissioners, manages the nation's third largest county. He and his wife Gwen have been married for 43 years and have four children and 13 grandchildren.
