2013 - Adopt-an-Orphan for Christmas

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27 New International Version (NIV)

Imagine if you or your children were orphaned?

Imagine if you did not have a very stable living environment and were unsure about your next meal?

Imagine if you only had a few sets of clothes to wear, maybe only one or two?

Imagine you had no one to give you any gifts for Christmas?

We take a lot for granted in this country. Unfortunately, it takes seeing how less fortunate others are for us to realize how INCREDIBLY blessed we are.

This Christmas you have an opportunity to make sure that a child who doesn’t have it as good as you had it or as good as your children is remembered and taken care of this Christmas. And if you are adopted by God, in Christ, adopting an orphan is a natural byproduct of the grace we have been given.

Since the US Dollar goes very far in Uganda, we are going to fund this effort so that they can purchase everything they need for a Christmas party and a gift of clothes to 31 children at the El Shaddai Orphanage in Uganda.

We are attempting to raise $1,550 to provide the following:

- A shirt, pants, underwear and shoes for every little boy.

- A dress, underwear and shoes for every little girl.

- A Christmas party for the entire group of orphans, 31 in total.

A suggested donation of $50 per child will guarantee that EVERY child will have the gift of clothing and enjoy the party. A donation of ANY amount is appreciated.

The party will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21st. We will provide pictures of the festivities.
