Meeting Description
The worst time in your clients' lives may take place when they are bereaved. Our speaker will review what is most important at this crucial time. What can you do to help them get through the days? What critical actions --both financial and otherwise-- might be overlooked? What do clients need to know after their situation has drastically changed? Mr. Morse will review the best practices of working with grieving clients and offer guidance for effective planning, efficient administration and maintaining a warm and strong relationship with the client and family.
Speaker Biography
Rory Morse’s practice of law focuses on counseling and advising clients acting as Executor or Successor Trustee of an Estate. He has resolved a wide range of issues with Administration, including clouded title on real property, IRS audits and liquidation of family held businesses. Rory graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Philosophy. He received his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University, School of Law, where he served as a Technical Editor for the Santa Clara Computer and High Tech Law Journal, Volume 30. During law school, Rory worked as a judicial intern, first for Judge Kenneth Barnum observing civil litigation, and second working with the Santa Clara County Probate Examiners for Judge Thomas William Cain. Outside the practice of law, Rory continues to pursue his interest in philosophy, and enjoys games in both the electronic and table top formats.
