Speaker Biography

John Brown is founder and CEO of Business Enterprise Institute, the oldest and largest membership-based Exit Planning organization in the United States. John started his career in Exit Planning 30 plus years ago as an estate planning attorney. John created The Seven Step Exit Planning Process™ and successfully tested it on hundreds of his own clients. In 1990 he shared the process in his first book: How To Run Your Business So You Can Leave It In Style. With hundreds of thousands of copies sold, it remains the number-one selling book on Exit Planning. In 1996, John created Business Enterprise Institute to train advisors of business owners in Exit Planning. Since its founding, John and BEI’s members have created thousands of written exit plans for business owners.
