Join us as we gather for the 14th Annual Rx Mixer 2018, a fundraising event with a Hawaiian theme to be held at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, June 24, 2018 benefiting the IACP Foundation! The IACP Foundation is the only foundation established to benefit pharmacy compounding.  Join us in paradise and come relax with your colleagues and friends. Our guests will be treated to a fun evening of classic food, cold drinks, fellowship, and dueling pianos to lead us in song and cheer! Try your hand at the Live Auction, Silent Auction by IACP Foundation,  Memorabilia Silent Auction by GrandStand Sports and the Reverse Draw! All for a really good cause as we support the IACP Foundation’s research and education initiatives. As we gather again with our colleagues and friends, we want to emphasize that Rx Mixer is much more than a fun party. This event is one of the primary ways we have to fund a vitally important mission – to support the quality, integrity, and advancement of pharmacy compounding and its practitioners for the benefit of patients. The IACP Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational foundation and serves as the charitable extension of IACP with a mission to fund research and educational initiatives to advance the art and science of pharmacy compounding.

Each year, the IACP Foundation’s activities include:

• Funding innovative programs and research initiatives that enhance the quality, safety, responsiveness, and credibility of pharmacy compounding;
• Encouraging curricular endorsement of the fundamental proficiencies essential to compounding pharmacists through alliances with educational institutions and accreditation bodies; and
• Sponsoring public education programs that aspire to acquaint health care professionals and the public with the services and issues related to pharmacy compounding.

Your support and involvement is crucial in raising funds for the IACP Foundation so that we can continue the good work we started more than 14 years ago.

Who attends the Rx Mixer?

The Rx Mixer is attended by compounding pharmacists and technicians from across the country. Attendees are the leaders in the compounding profession and the decision makers in the pharmacy. Attendees truly understand the importance of the advancement of pharmacy compounding supporting the Rx Mixer’s goal to raise funds for research and educational initiatives. We anticipate hosting more than 200 attendees in 2018.

The Rx Mixer will take place on Sunday, June 24th as a key component of IACP’s Annual Compounders on Capitol Hill (CCH).  In 2018, the Rx Mixer and the 24th Annual Compounders on Capitol Hill will be held at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel, in Washington D.C. Located at 999 Ninth St NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.  The Renaissance Washington, D.C. is conveniently situated in the Penn Quarter district near Capitol Hill and the White House. It's surrounded by shops, restaurants, the Spy Museum, Chinatown, the National Portrait Gallery, and world-famous National Mall monuments.
