LET'S EXPLORE CUBA !!
Explore Cuba, the "Jewel of the Caribbean" and enjoy an Afro-Cuban adventure of music, food and fantastic memories as we explore the Cuban Health System. Learn how a poor, underresourced country boasts impressive health statistics while providing national healthcare. Participate in a medical exchange of knowledge to reciprocally enhance skills. Visit High Schools where we will teach CPR (RCP) in Spanish to young Cuban Students and bring needed supplies. This is the experience of a lifetime!
We will be traveling under the "Help For the Cuban People" License. There is lots of information on the Cuban Licenses and this license covers us for completely legal travel to Cuba. If we have an all medical team, we may opt instead for travel under Humanitarian visa. We will always, however, make certain that we are in complicance.
Upon registration, we will set up a pre-departure meeting by Zoom. We will also send you more detailed payment information.
The current estimated cost is $2,995.00. We are waiting on final cost from our Cuban on island vendor. Airfare nor Trip Interruption Insurance is included. Health Insurance, however, is included in your air cost. We encourage all travelers, however, to examine the policy with the airlines thoroughly and elect any additional coverage that will make you comfortable.
We will also confirm the itinerary and cost prior to accepting your deposit which is NONrefundable.
Look to see you there !
This Eight Day Cuban Health System Tour is an incredible and full experience. You will experience the Cuban Health System like never before. We are currently working on making a few amazing additions/substitutions to our itinerary so this is a tentative schedule. Please know that if there are changes, it would most likely be relative to day swaps due to weather or unpredictable scheduling
logistics on the island. If we can make other itinerary changes, you can rest assured that it would only be to make the itinerary more fantastic.
Compared to other vendors, are prices are considerably less, in some cases almost have as much. This is a customized tour with few comparables out there on the consumer market. Our food, services and expert tour guidance are second to none.
Remember this is your experience. We can create unique exchange experiences with the Cuban people and the medical teams as well so let’s put our heads together and be creative. If our program shifts around a bit do not worry. We will cover quite a bit and you will never be bored but you may be tired. We reserve the right to adjust the programing schedule to due to logistics or weather, but we will always make the experience top quality and all changes will only enhance.
LOCATION
We will be staying in the beautiful, quaint and upscale Havana neighborhood of Vedado where there are many attractions and fabulous restaurants nearby and Old Havana is in walking distance or a short cab ride away. The hotel has a roof top pool and is very clean and friendly. Breakfast is outstanding.
Dr. Rene Roberts, Executive Producer of I AM ABEL FOUNDATION'S CAN TV, seated below, is relaxing at Jose Fuster's Outdoor ceramic museum!
DINING
Breakfast and Lunch are always included and the restaurants are top notch. Dinner is included 3 of the 7 nights which gives you the option to explore the city and to dine on your own.
BEACH
We will be using one of our free afternoons to head to Santa Maria Beach – In Playas del Este. It is reportedly a very nice beach close to Havana. I have not been there but others who have traveled with us liked it. It is not Verdadero which is super far away but it’s close.
