Boys & Girls Club Summer Camp at 
Verona Area High School 

All Day Summer Camp: Tweeny Boppers! ( Well Rounded Tweens)
Tweens ages 11-13 

The Boys & Girls Club of Dane County brings national Boys & Girls Club programs for middle school aged kids to Verona Area High School for Summer Camp.

During this full day of summer camp kids will experience arts and crafts, sports and recreation, character and leadership, health and life skills, and a summer literacy program to curve summer learing loss. There will be one to two field trips per week relevant to the weekly themes.

Food is included: lunch and two snacks will be provided daily.

Read a Book/Watch a Movie- Movie Critics

• Read a book between Monday and Thursday and Watch the corresponding movie on Friday and critique the differences

Performing Arts

• Record a song in a real recording studio
• Learn a dance routine with the Boys & Girls Club Dance Line
• Introduction to Instruments
• Digital Media Arts: learn how to produce your own music video

Sports & Recreation

• Badges for Baseball: local police officiers will coach and lead co-ed basball/softball mini-camps for Tweens 
• Tween Boot Camps: Age appropriate fitness mini-camps for Tweens
• Team Sports: learn teamwork, leadership, organziation, and planning skills through multiple team sports
• Adventure Sports and Nature Knowledge: Rock Climbing through Boulder's Gym, Canoeing with Wingra Boats and Nature Appreciation Walks

Healthy Living

• Learn to cook healthy meals with UW Slow Foods
• Grown your own food

*All topics will be taught age appropriate through interactive games & projects!
