Since 2004, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Black Chamber of Commerce (CMBCC) has been focused on promoting and protecting the interests of black businesses in Charlotte Mecklenburg. The CMBCC has several programs deeply focused on strengthening and enriching the economic vitality of communities in need, with the ultimate goal of increasing the success of the Charlotte region.
As 2015 gets off to an exhilarating start, the CMBCC Economic Development Committee will introduce its new “Sit In” initiative, starting with the event entitled Promoting Black Business Sit-in Breakfast in partnership with nDemand Consulting LLC. According to Oscar Frazier, Owner of nDemand Consulting LLC, this initiative is geared towards building a closer relationship between the CMBCC, its member base, and minority-owned businesses throughout Charlotte. Furthermore, the CMBCC and nDemand Consulting LLC are committed to developing a clearer depiction of the needs and pain points of local minority-owned businesses (e.g., website development, graphic design, operations alignment, marketing, funding, etc.).
“We are not only striving to bridge the gap between small minority-owned businesses and Charlotte consumers; our ultimate goal is to make a positive impact on the sales, transactions and revenues for minority-owned businesses in our communities.” states Mr. Frazier.
The free breakfast event will take place at the Neighborhood Cafe on Beatties Ford Road (Charlotte’s Historic West End Mosaic Village) on Tuesday, January 13th, 2015 at 8:00AM. The CMBCC and nDemand Consulting LLC are asking for minority business owners to come out and learn more about the “Sit In” initiative, spread the word, and encourage friends and family members to attend.
