About the trainer:
Mat Peters, LCSW graduated from Albion College with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies. He began his career in the mental health field as a Mental Health Technician for Memorial Epworth in 2011. In 2013 he joined Oaklawn as a Skills Trainer for adults and later accepted the position as the Team Leader of Adult Case Management. While working at Oaklawn, Mat pursued a Master of Social Work at Andrews University. In his time at Oaklawn, he's worked with multiple programs serving seriously mentally ill adults including, Adult Case Management, St. Joseph County Jail Services, Oaklawn's Crisis Response Team, the FUSE project at Oliver Apartments and now the Intensive Community Based Services Program.
