PFC Foundational Training: Family Engagement 

Family engagement is the process of building genuine relationships with families to support children’s development and the overall well-being of the family. 

In this virtual training, participants will:

  • Learn why family engagement is important by observing examples of how family engagement can increase a family’s sense of connection, felt safety, and support.
  • Identify barriers to family engagement.
  • Identify and practice strategies to engage families in your organization.

Presenters

Krista Yoder, BSN, RN, is the Coordinator for the Family Support Specialist team with The SOURCE. She is also a certified TBRI Practitioner and Registered Nurse.

Kaylene Ediger, ME, is a Family Support Specialist on The SOURCE team with lived experience as a parent to children/youth with emotional and behavioral health needs.

Cindy Baker, MSEd, is a Family Support Specialist on The SOURCE team with lived experience as a parent to children/youth with emotional and behavioral health needs.
