PFC Foundational Training: Family Engagement

Family engagement is the process of building genuine relationships with families to support children’s development and the overall well-being of the family.

In this virtual training, participants will:

Learn why family engagement is important by observing examples of how family engagement can increase a family’s sense of connection, felt safety, and support.

Identify barriers to family engagement.

Identify and practice strategies to engage families in your organization.

Presenters

Krista Yoder, BSN, RN, is the Coordinator for the Family Support Specialist team with The SOURCE. She is also a certified TBRI Practitioner and Registered Nurse.

Kaylene Ediger, ME, is a Family Support Specialist on The SOURCE team with lived experience as a parent to children/youth with emotional and behavioral health needs.

Cindy Baker, MSEd, is a Family Support Specialist on The SOURCE team with lived experience as a parent to children/youth with emotional and behavioral health needs.
