Objectives:
1) Review TBRI principles of connecting and empowering.
2) Increase understanding of the TBRI correcting principle and how it can simultaneously build relationships and decrease challenging behaviors.
3) Practice implementing the TBRI principles of connecting, empowering, correcting, and identify how this can be applied at your organization.
Presented By:
Krista Yoder, BSN, RN, is the Coordinator for the Family Support Specialist team with The SOURCE. Krista is a mom to 3 little boys and comes with lived experience as a foster parent to vulnerable children in our community. She is a Registered Nurse and has worked closely with children and families in the Pediatric Intensive Care setting. She is also a certified TBRI Practitioner.
Kaylene Ediger, ME, is a Family Support Specialist on The SOURCE team. Kaylene comes with lived experience as a mother to an adult son with Autism, as well as a son who battled mental illness and chose to end his life through suicide. Kaylene walks alongside families in our communities by providing formal and informal support to address the emotional and behavioral health needs of children in their family. Kaylene has also received specialized TBRI training.
