Marijuana Use in Youth

As marijuana is legalized throughout the United States and rates of use increase among youth, it is important to understand how this drug impacts adolescents. The latest research shows that using marijuana at a young age can have a long-lasting effect a teen’s health, well-being and brain structure

Join us for breakfest to hear from Oaklawn therapists, Tom Walters and Heather Glenn, who manage our substance use treatment program for youth. They will share practical tips for how to educate youth about the effects of marijuana, how to address youth who are already using marijuana and the myth that marijuana is harmless.

1.0 CEUs will be provided and a free breakfast.

Schedule:

7:40-8 a.m.: Registration & Breakfast

8-9 a.m.: Presentation

9-9:30 a.m.: Q&A
