Albany Roundtable Opens 2012-2013 Season with a
Discussion of State and National Voting Trends 

ALBANY, NY – September 17, 2012 – Bruce Gyory, political consultant and adjunct professor of political science, will address the Albany Roundtable at the first luncheon of the 2012-2013 season on Wednesday, October 10. Albany Roundtable luncheon meetings are held at the National Register-listed University Club, 141 Washington Avenue at Dove Street in Albany, and are open to the public.

A Strategic Consultant at Corning Place Communications in Albany, Bruce has over 28 years of experience as a lawyer, and has served three Governors of New York (two as Senior Advisor). Today, Bruce no longer practices law – focusing his talents on strategic positioning, political consulting and the study of national and state voter preferences and trends. He is an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at the University of Albany. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor from New York University.

Corning Place Communications LLC was founded in 2000 as the communications, media relations and public affairs partner of Hinman Straub. Their award-winning firm provides expert strategic and crisis communications services, as well as the development and delivery of creative advocacy campaigns.

The Roundtable’s New Patroon Award will be presented at the October luncheon to Albany Barn, Inc. and its founder, Jeffrey Mirel, for the organization’s efforts to cultivate support for regional artists and to develop a permanent, sustainable 21st Century creative arts incubator and community art center in Albany.

The cost for the luncheon is $20, which may be paid at the door. This year, the Roundtable is also offering its guests the option of paying in advance with a credit card at www.albanyroundtable.com. The University Club will serve a hot and cold buffet from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., with the program commencing at 12:30.
