We will look back on the accomplishments of the past year. We will look ahead to new initiatives, pass a budget, elect new board members and hear from an outstanding guest speakers, Deirdre Macnab.

 Completing her sixth year as Florida president in May of 2015, under Deirdre Macnab's leadership the Florida League moved from the sixth largest League to the third largest League in the country.  Other accomplishments include successfully increasing membership by almost 30% and budget by more than 100%, adding five new local Leagues, and winning a number of court victories, one striking down a 48-hour turnaround on voter registration.  Other major accomplishments by the Florida League during Deirdre's leadership include placing two amendments to reduce gerrymandering in the Florida Constitution, defeating 9 amendments to the Constitution, and leading the charge for a successful election reform bill, with the most recent success being the Florida League’s involvement in gathering 25,000 petitions to place an environmental amendment on the ballot and advocating to see a 75% passage rate by voters. 

League delegate counts are proportional to the number of League members. Any League or MAL Unit may send as many observers is it would like.  Leagues that have not filled their delegate count may authorize such observers to act as their delegates.

Convention, including plenary sessions, continental breakfast and lunch is $45 until 6/1, $50 after 6/1.  Payment can be made by check or on-line via PayPal.
