BRIDGE BREAKING COMPETITION

UMaine ASCE Student Chapter will host the Bridge Breaking Competition at the 71st Maine Transportation Conference. Challenge your co-workers, consultants, contractors and students! Show off your engineering & construction skills! 

The kits will be mailed upon request, but no later than November 15th, so bridges can be painstakingly designed and built in advance. Bridges will first be weighed and then tested to failure in a test frame.The most efficient (strength-to-weight ratio) bridge will win! Prizes will be awarded for First- and Second-Place bridges and for the Top Student Bridge.
