A SAFER MAIN STREET: The Presque Isle Bypass

AFTER MORE THAN A DECADE of study, planning and public debate, construction is underway on the Presque Isle Bypass project. The bypass will be constructed in three phases and will enhance regional transportation by improving connectivity and reducing travel times around Presque Isle and within Aroostook County, while improving traffic safety and traffic flow/mobility in downtown Presque Isle.

MAINEDOT SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER RHOBE MOULTON will be our guest speaker. Moulton is a 30-year veteran of MaineDOT, where she started in the maintenance division, moved to survey and other areas and ended up in design, where she began as a technician and worked her way up to project management. She was born in Guilford, Maine and worked at a wood turning mill in her hometown before joining MaineDOT. In
addition to the Presque Isle Bypass, she is project manager for MaineDOT’s Bar Harbor Route 3 project, and has also been assigned the Route 9 connector/I-395 project.
