Nurses Day at the Legislature

ND Nurses' Day at the Legislature is a great opportunity for nurses and student nurses from across the state to become engaged in our state’s legislative process. This will be a great opportunity for nurses that are new to the policy arena to learn more about the process and see the legislature in action. This will also be a great opportunity for seasoned nursing advocates to help push for nursing issues and provide key visibility to organizational legislative priorities.
The goals of Nurses Day include:
- Provide an opportunity for nurses to learn about the legislative process and interact with legislators on key issues during the legislative session.
- Provide an opportunity for legislators to learn about key nursing issues and to interact with representatives of multiple nursing organizations across the state.
Organizations are invited to register for an exhibit table. We would like to have exhibit tables from a wide variety of nursing organizations and nursing education programs. This is your opportunity to help educate legislators about the diverse nursing field and issues that are important to your organization. Interactive exhibits which engage legislators are especially encouraged.
All participants will be provided with key information for the event including a current list of bills that are being heard during Nurses Day, a seating chart of legislators for the floor sessions and legislative priorities of ND Nursing groups. There will be opportunities for nurses to observe committee hearings and floor sessions and also tour the legislature and capitol. During lunchtime, legislators and attendees are invited to the Memorial and Legislative Halls to participate in exhibits and meet legislators that will be invited to the boxed lunch.

Registration Fees
Organizational Exhibit: $25 for a table/chairs- tables do not include tablecloths or skirting. Each individual from an organization will also need to register as individuals.
Individual Fee: $5 per participant (includes boxed lunch)
