CANCELLATION POLICY

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

Due to rising costs and expenses generated by students who register for our courses and do not attend without notification, it has become necessary to institute the following policy:

In order to qualify for a full refund, students (or their employing agencies) must cancel no less than two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Cancellations must be received via e-mail to the attention of the course coordinator. A confirmation of receipt and a cancellation number must be obtained from the coordinator. No claims will be accepted unless the aforementioned is adhered to. Cancellations made within the two week time period are subject to a $150 fee. Substitutions of students may be made at any time. Please call us immediately if you have any questions.

NOTE: NO-SHOWS (INCLUDING THOSE WHO CANCEL AFTER 3PM ON THE THURSDAY PRECEDING THE COURSE) WILL BE INVOICED THE FULL REGISTRATION FEE.

2023 Basic Police Sniper / Observer Course

This is a 40 hr. course designed for officers interested in learning the fundamental skills of a Police Sniper. This course will be instructed by highly-qualified personnel, with over 25 years of experience in the field, whom will introduce a myriad of dynamics specific to the realm of Police Sniper.

Students will be introduced to Basic Sniper skills to include ballistics, range estimation, urban hides, and much more. In addition, students will learn to engage stationary and moving targets. The distances will vary from 10 yards up to 600 yards. As a result of the various distances, there may be days where the shooting drills will be offsite at locations to be later determined.

ALL REGISTERED STUDENTS MUST SEND A SCANNED COPY OF THEIR POLICE IDENTIFICATION UPON COMPLETING THEIR REGISTRATION TO dgarcia2@mdpd.com.

Please note if you are interested in attending and will be traveling from out-of-state or country, arrangements can be made prior to the course start date to ship your ammunition.

Upon completing your online registration you will receive a confirmation email listing all of the equipment that will be needed to attend the course. Please note that the AMMUNITION is not included. You will need to bring a minimum of 500 rounds.

The fee for this course is $900.

*As a courtesy to our students, we have a pre negotiated special room rate at the InterContinental at Doral Miami, which is located at 2505 NW 87 Avenue, Miami, FL 33172. For reservations, please contact the hotel directly at 305-468-1400 or via email at reservations.miahc@R-HR.com and refer to the course name in order to obtain the special negotiated rate of $142.

*Please note there are a limited amount of rooms reserved at the special negotiated rate. Early room reservation is highly recommended. Shuttle service to the Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute can be made available upon your request directly with the hotel. Notification must be made prior to your arrival to ensure availability.
