CANCELLATION POLICY

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

Due to rising costs and expenses generated by students who register for our courses and do not attend without notification, it has become necessary to institute the following policy:

In order to qualify for a full refund, students (or their employing agencies) must cancel no less than two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Cancellations must be received via e-mail to the attention of the course coordinator. A confirmation of receipt and a cancellation number must be obtained from the coordinator. No claims will be accepted unless the aforementioned is adhered to. Cancellations made within the two week time period are subject to a $150 fee. Substitutions of students may be made at any time. Please call us immediately if you have any questions.

NOTE: NO-SHOWS (INCLUDING THOSE WHO CANCEL AFTER 3PM ON THE THURSDAY PRECEDING THE COURSE) WILL BE INVOICED THE FULL REGISTRATION FEE.

2022 Advanced Police Sniper Course

This is a comprehensive program designed to enhance the students’ skills learned in the Basic Police Sniper/Observer Course. This course will offer information including a review of the fundamentals for long-distance shooting previously learned, use and application of Kestrel devices, high-angle shooting, use of tripods (as well as other supporting devices), extensive long-range shooting, low-light conditions, and live fire scenarios. This course will be held primarily at the Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute; however, traveling to off-site locations will be required as well.

Each lead instructor has over 25 years of experience in both Police Sniper and Long-Range Shooting competitions. For students traveling from outside the state of Florida, or from within the United States, arrangements may be made to have their ammunition shipped prior to the course. This course is open to law enforcement officers only, and all students must provide a Certificate of Completion from the Miami-Dade Police Department’s, Specialized Training Unit’s Police Basic Sniper Course.

ALL REGISTERED STUDENTS MUST SEND A SCANNED COPY OF THEIR POLICE IDENTIFICATION UPON COMPLETING THEIR REGISTRATION TO dgarcia2@mdpd.com.

Upon completing your online registration, you will receive a confirmation email listing all of the equipment that will be needed to attend the course. Please note that the AMMUNITION is not included. You will need to bring a minimum of 250 rounds.

The fee for this course is $1,005.00. Payment can be made in the form of cash, check, money order, and/or wire transfer. We are not able to process credit card payments.

***As a courtesy to our students, we have a pre negotiated special room rate at the InterContinental at Doral Miami, which is located at 2505 NW 87 Avenue, Miami, FL 33172. For reservations, please contact the hotel directly at 305-468-1400 and refer to the course name in order to obtain the special negotiated rate of $127.

*Please note there are a limited amount of rooms reserved at the special negotiated rate. Early room reservation is highly recommended. Shuttle service to the Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute can be made available upon your request directly with the hotel. Notification must be made prior to your arrival to ensure availability.
