2022 Female Involvement In Violent Encounters (F.I.V.E.) - Enhanced "Vehicle Operations"

This female-driven course is one in a 3-part series of enhanced “F.I.V.E.” training evolutions. It is specifically designed to outline the circumstances in which High-Risk Traffic Stops and Felony Stops should be conducted, and how the tactic should be executed under varying circumstances. This course will also outline the ballistic limitations of a police vehicle when it is used for cover, develop skills related to deploying from a vehicle when in a threat situation, positioning for maximum effectiveness when using a vehicle for cover, counter-assault techniques and other protective movements when under fire, and coordinated vehicle assault and clearing procedures. Students will be challenged mentally, physically and professionally in handling high-risk and stressful situations that an officer may face in the performance of her duties.

On the last day, all students will apply and execute the different techniques and skills learned throughout the training by participating in a real-life scenario where they will engage in a dangerous encounter with combative subjects. Training will be accentuated into a realistic course by the use of live fire, non-lethal training simunitions, and close-quarter combat to enhance the officer’s skills needed to control violent subjects. These exercises will produce a physical and stressful element to simulate psychological and physiological effects of a potentially lethal confrontation. Students are expected to build awareness and have the confidence to confront the everyday challenges faced throughout their career.

Attire will consist of a black shirt, black BDU pants, ballistic vest, and full duty belt.

The fee for this course is $860
