FORENSIC SCIENCE APPLIED - A LEGAL & INVESTIGATIVE INTRODUCTION
This one of a kind workshop explores the facts of actual cases where forensic science played a key role, and it explores the challenges, opportunities, and issues surrounding the use of forensic science in modern criminal investigations and their associated legal proceedings.
What is forensic science and how is it applied in actual criminal cases? This workshop gives the answers. But first, we must recognize that there is nothing mystical or magical about scientific evidence. It is a tool that gives a voice to physical items that cannot speak for themselves. In the hands of competent, responsible professionals, forensic science makes our criminal justice system more fair and reliable. In the wrong hands, it can incriminate the innocent or misdirect authorities away from dangerous perpetrators.
