Export U: Basic Guide to Exporting

The United States exports goods and services worth $180 billion every month and the number is expected to grow for at least the next two years. In this workshop, participants will learn about developing an export strategy and marketing plan, making contact with international sellers and shipping products legally from the United States. They will also get a brief overview of the Export/Import Bank of the United States and the Global Export Express Program. Finally, participants will learn about the resources available at the Harlem Office of the US Department of Commerce, just a ten-minute walk from Columbia's campus.
