Angela Tarquini-Sanders

Founder of Mindful Mindz, and guest teacher at Integrative Mindfulness, Angela Tarquini-Sanders is dedicated to delivering engaging and effective programs to help individuals experience the benefits of mindfulness and a positive mindset in their daily lives. As a former marketing consultant in the healthcare industry and a mother of three, Angela experienced first-hand the effects that stress can have on health and emotional well-being. In her search for balance, increased energy and focus, Angela discovered the transformative benefits of mindfulness.

Angela has spent the last 15 years studying and cultivating a solid mindfulness practice.  She has deepened and broadened her skills through training with Mindful Schools K-12 Teacher Training, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) 8-Week program and Positive Psychology Certificate from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She stays current and relevant by participating in workshops and retreats with renowned teachers in the fields of mindfulness and positive psychology.

Today she is thrilled to take her knowledge of mindfulness, meditation and positive psychology along with her healthcare experience and passion for greater well-being to create innovative workshops and courses to help others improve their life experience.

Paulette is a founding member of the Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Paulette teaches both Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), having participated in professional training in both programs through the Centers for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts and the University of California at San Diego, respectively. She has been practicing mindfulness meditation for over 20 years, and has studied with experts in the field including Jon Kabat-Zinn, Jack Kornfield, Thich Nhat Hanh, Sharon Salzberg, Chris Germer, and Kristen Neff.

Paulette says her practice has helped her with better focus, a healthier way to relate to what's difficult, more joy in everyday living, and developing deeper understanding, compassion, and kindness for herself and her fellow human beings. Paulette is Professor Emeritus of Interpersonal Communication at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan, retiring after thirty years of full-time teaching and six years of serving as Humanities Department Chair.  She continues to teach Family Communication online, a course which she developed for the college. She is a wife and mother and has two fun-loving Havanese dogs. Integrative Mindfulness welcomes Paulette as a guest teacher during the winter season when she resides in Bonita Bay.
