Made to Stick: Sustainable Change is Possible! (Mar 2016)

TITLE:  Made to Stick: Sustainable Change is Possible!

DATE:  March 8, 2016

TIME: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

REGISTRATION FEE:  $55

LOCATION:  WRESA

Education is never short on great ideas and initiatives. You probably have been part of some of these. However, some ideas and some initiatives don't stay around long. As we know, students can't benefit from initiatives they don't experience. Additionally, failing initiatives can become discouraging. Based on Dan and Chip Heath's book, Made to Stick, this workshop unpacks the idea of "readiness" and how to implement ideas and initiatives with sustainability—whether those changes be personal or professional, individual classroom, whole school, or even district. Participants will receive a copy of Made to Stick and will leave with insight on how to get good ideas into practice with the ultimate goal of improving student outcomes. Facilitators will be Lynn Bailey, MTSS Regional Consultant with NCDPI and Dr. Karen Sumner, WRESA Elementary Coordinator.
