We all can learn better…and it isn’t as difficult as you may think. Understanding how the brain works can make a huge difference in supporting student STEM learning. Based on the book A Mind for Numbers: How to Excel at Math and Science (Even if you Flunked Algebra), we will discuss how to engage memory and slow thinking. We will explore how the most important challenge our students face is procrastination, even in our technology enhanced environment, and the best brain based research technique for combating procrastination. This is a great book for understanding students’ brains and giving them real world strategies and skills to be lifelong learners—21st century and beyond. These techniques are great for your students, your children, and even you as an adult learner.
