TITLE:  NCSIP Reading Foundations (5-day training)

This five-day course focuses on increasing teacher’s knowledge of the research behind the science of reading as well as their skills in providing research-based instructional strategies to students with persistent reading difficulties.  The content covers Graphophonemic Awareness, Decoding, Encoding, Vocabulary and Comprehension. Outside assignments are expected to be completed for the full 3.5 CEUs to be issued.  Each participant must purchase the manual at http://ncsip.org/reading/documents/ReadingManualOrderForm_10.2011.pdf and bring it to the training.
