The Stock Market Game (SMG)  - Do you want your students to be engaged and have fun while learning life skills they can use in the real world? The Stock Market Game (SMG) is the right tool for you to help your students build a fundamental understanding of investing while providing them with real world skills practice in math, English language arts, economics, social studies, and other subjects.  Most importantly, the Stock Market Game will help your students develop positive money habits and prepare them for the future. Lessons in the Teacher Support Center are correlated to the North Carolina Essential Standards. The Stock Market Game effectively contextualizes the academic content standards, practices, and career skills expressed in the CCSS, STEM, and by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills. Your presenter each day will be Mary Richards, a veteran teacher from Buncombe County Schools, who used the SMG for 15 years in her classroom.  This could count towards your literacy credit (financial literacy).
