This course will prepare 3-8th grade teachers to conduct Shared Inquiry discussions which will increase reading, speaking, writing and discussion skills with the use of outstanding literature.  This course and the methods taught are highly aligned with the CCSS.  Teachers will earn 10 hours of professional development and can receive an hour of graduate credit for an additional fee from the teacher. This course includes 6 hours of face to face instruction and 4 hours of additional online time.  Classroom kits called Starting Off Strong are included to serve the online hours.  Teachers also receive training manuals and other handouts.  Please contact Karen Sumner (ksumner@wresa.org) 8284180011 ext. 26 with questions.
