Registration Fee:  $45

Registration Deadline:  April 27, 2015

This workshop is centered on the basic principle that every child can be an independent successful learner and every teacher can establish connections among their peers to better facilitate success.  In our workshop we will model co-teaching strategies and roles, demonstrate different approaches to instruction and assignments, shine a light on true differentiation, and fill up your tool kit with ways to maintain rigor while decreasing learned helplessness. This workshop is being presented by middle school teachers but many of the practices will be appropriate K-12.  We will offer what we know, provide a forum to collect and share what YOU know, and leave with a solid foundation of practices to invigorate and motivate the students in your classroom. Your presenters will be Nicole Phelps, an inclusion teacher at Owen Middle school and two other co-teachers. If you have questions, contact April Spencer, aspencer@wresa.org/828.418.0011, ext. 20.  Contact hours: 5
