Workshop Capacity: 25 

Looking to promote math and science for K-4 students? The Science House of NCSU has the workshop for you. “Number Sense Science" is a workshop designed to assist elementary teachers in promoting math and science understanding and confidence of number sense through the use of data collection technology.  This workshop will provide a natural connection between a mathematical concept and a science concept allowing the teacher to integrate real-life connections for the children’s development of number sense. Teachers will spend the day working on take-home activities that explore different aspects of numbers through the use of age-appropriate technology.  Each lesson will connect to the North Carolina Common Core Math Standards for grades K-4.  If you have questions, please contact Dr. Teresa Cowan, 828-418-0011, ext 17/thcowan@ncsu.edu.
