    Presents
   Critical Components in
   Refrigeration Training

Winstel Controls presents this 3-hour program on Critical Components in Refrigeration. This course, presented by Rick Streacker of Packard Inc., is designed to provide a basic knowledge of critical components in the refrigeration system, including capacitors, compressors, motors, fans, refrigerants, and troubleshooting.

We will focus on many of the major components in the refrigeration system and how to keep them working. Shaded pole, Permanent Split Capacitor (PSC), and Electronically Commutated (EC) motors will be compared. We’ll show how characteristics of a capacitor and a potential relay can help us to determine if the compressor is operating OK. Changes in refrigerants will be reviewed, and the impact on the technician’s tools will be discussed, along with tips that will help keep the system operating smoothly.

Class Outline:

  • Changes in Refrigerants
  • Transformers, Contactors and Relays
  • Capacitors
  • Compressors
  • Motors and Recent Design Changes
  • Fans
  • Question & Answer Session

Continuing Education Credits:
•   3-Hours OH – (HV, RE) #3860056
