More Information

A fast-talking new comedy about the ins and outs of new parenting, mixed heritage, and what makes or breaks your child’s Latinx identity. Written by actor, voiceover artist, burlesque performer, and Pregones/PRTT ensemble member Gabriel Hernández, and incubated through the company’s Step Up Artist Residency program. The story: 30-something Daniel visits the local kids’ playground —super cute baby in tow— and engages in hilarious banter and park bench philosophizing with another parent. The conversation is peppered by wild asides with Daniel’s superlative and musical alter egos, MC Plátano and the Beatboxer.

Guests will receive their tickets to the event via email, as we get closer to the event. You can print them out or scan them from your phone once you arrive at the theater.

Please note the following:

1. Pregones/PRTT takes your safety very seriously.  Guests have the option of wearing a properly fitting face mask over their nose and mouth in the theatre.

2. Doors to the house and lobby will open 35 minutes prior to curtain.

3. Our tickets are now digital. Have your tickets ready to scan on your mobile device, or print out your ticket at home prior to your performance date.

4. ACCESSIBILITY - Our Manhattan venue is a NYC designated historic landmark built in 1888. It is not currently wheelchair accessible; the main orchestra level is 7 steps up from street level. Our staff is always available on site to assist, but if you have any special seating needs, please feel free to give us advance notice by leaving a message at 718-585-1202, or email paguilar@pregones.org so that we might make your visit as comfortable as possible.

We look forward to seeing you at The Puerto Rican Traveling Theater in Manhattan!
