The Sounding Circles Method is an easy to learn, profound-to-implement technique that combines the specificity of avant-garde sound arts practices with heart based healing modalities. During this intensive week, the group is expertly led through a beautifully crafted series of zany non-verbal vocal improvisation circles. You will learn how to create an array of colors using your voice, make conscious sound using intention, and raise your energy by releasing holding patterns and limiting beliefs. You will discover your unique gifts and celebrate one another’s contributions through the power of group resonance.
Enfolded into Sounding Circles training are traditional and extended vocal techniques, incorporating parameters derived from speech, phonetics, phoenims from world languages, sonic gestures, seed syllables, and Musical, Planetary, and Sound Archetypes. Sounding Circles will take place in enclosed spaces with and without Mindfold eye-masks, outside on the gorgeous Kalani fields, on meditative walks, on the beach, and at night around a campfire. There will be sacred ceremonies conducted in a lava tube and within the comfort of a warm Watsu pool. Joule creates numerous and varied opportunities for individual and group expressions of gratitude and joy, a profound sense of mahalo.
In addition to the vocal sounding and toning there will be sound meditations, ecstatic singing, and drama-play exercises designed to bring out the ‘Holy Fool’ within us: helping us to make fun of our ego-driven mind, overcome inhibitions, and learn how to take ourselves less seriously in order to allow more light into our lives. This Intensive will also feature a powerful team of guests presenting delicious additional offerings as well as hands-on experiential time with Harmonic Healing tools including Feeltone Instruments, Elfen Energy Chimes, and Acutonics Tuning Forks.
Musicians, artists, healing practitioners, therapists, teachers, and those on a journey of self-discovery will be enriched with new awareness and skills incorporating the collective wisdom of traditional and leading edge sound healing methods.
