2016 Expo

This Shop Local themed event takes advantage of an influx of Lake Orion area parents and school staff who are on hand at the high school for Spring parent-teacher conferences. Expected attendance typically tops 1000 for this event that is free to the public.

Join businesses of all varieties as they share information about their services, sell their merchandise, distribute free food samples and introduce unique offerings to consumers that span every demographic.

Orion or Oxford Chamber or DDA Member Exhibitor $155
Non-Profit Member Exhibitor $30 (501 (c)(3) with less than five full-time employees.)

• One 6' table and two chairs. Please provide your own tablecloth. Display space is limited to 6' by 5' and no tents are allowed, except by food vendors, pizza war and sandwich slam participants or sponsors.
• Your business name listed in the special EXPO insert in the Lake Orion Review and Oxford Leader the week before the event. Must be a registered and paid exhibitor by April 1 to be listed.
• Free attendance at the Pre-Expo Party and Information session at G's Pizzeria on May 3 at 5:00 pm. Your opportunity to ask questions and receive your booth location.
• Lake Orion DDA, Oxford DDA and Oxford Chamber members may register at the Chamber member rate of $155, all others must join the Orion Area Chamber and pay the the $225 annual membership fee and the $155 Expo exhibitor fee. Attention Restaurants and Food Establishments

Take part in the Expo's Taste of Orion and promote your cuisine to hundreds of parents, students, staff and community members. Provide 750 food samples and it will waive the cost of your table (normally $155) at the event. You must be a member of the Orion or Oxford Chamber or DDA to participate. 

Pizza War-only open to Orion Area Chamber members
Attention Pizzerias

Take a shot at earning the title of best pizza in the Orion area! What better way to promote your pizza than to hundreds of Lake Orion high school students, staff and parents. Only open to Orion Area Chamber of Commerce members. The fee for a table in the expo is $155 however; if you are participating in the Pizza War your fee will be waived. The winner will be awarded with a trophy naming them the “Pizza War Champion” to display in their business until the 2017 Pizza war. The rules of the Pizza War are as follows: slices served must be no more than 2 inch bites, any toppings, and you must provide 750 samples. Votes will be counted at 6:30 pm during the Expo and the winner will be announced at 7:00 pm.

Sandwich Slam-only open to Orion Area Chamber members
Attention Restaurants and Food Establishments
Do you have the area's best sandwich? What better way to promote your sandwiches than to hundreds of Lake Orion high school students, staff and parents. Only open to Orion Area Chamber of Commerce members. The fee for a table in the expo is $155 however; if you are participating in the Sandwich Slam your fee will be waived. The winner will be awarded with a trophy naming them the “Sandwich Slam Champion” to display in their business until the 2017 Sandwich Slam. The rules are as follows: sandwiches served must be no more than 2 inch bites and you must provide 250 samples. Votes will be counted at 6:30 pm during the Expo and the winner will be announced at 7:00 pm.

Dance Mob
Attention Dancers and Dance Studios
Sign your studio dancers up to perform at the Expo. A great way to advertise your studio in the community and provide your dancers with a fun opportunity to perform. Three times are available for studios to perform; 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Sign up early to secure your spot. There is no cost to the studio to participate, however if you would like a booth at the Expo the normal exhibitor fee of $155 applies. Only Orion Area Chamber of Commerce members qualify to participate.

Boost Your Visibility

Participate in the Scavenger Hunt Game

The LOHS DECA Club Marketing students have created a game that directs Expo attendees to your booth to complete their Scavenger Hunt and get a chance to win door prizes. How can you participate? Donate a door prize ($25 minimum value) and send us your logo in .jpg format by April 1st. We'll add your business to the game board and participants will be directed to your table to register for your door prize. You will be responsible for drawing the winning name for your door prize and delivering it.
