First Annual Awards Luncheon

Join us for our first annual awards luncheon honoring the 2014 Business Person of the Year and for the first time honorees in the following areas: Youth Impact, Community Beautification/Preservation, Entrepreneur of the Year and Economic Impact.

Business Person of the Year: Roberto Vecchi, General Manager at Buffalo Wild Wings

The Business Person of the Year is the Chamber's premier annual award. It is presented to a chamber member in good standing who shows significant commitment to social responsibility and exemplifies strong community involvement. They make a positive social and/or economic impact in the Orion Area and uphold the value proposition of the Orion Area Chamber. 2014 award sponsor Golling Buick GMC.

Youth Impact Award: Julia Dalrymple, DECA Club Advisor and teacher at Lake Orion High School

This award is presented to a a chamber member in good standing who contributes to the youth of the Orion Area in the areas of entrepreneurship and education. They exemplify strong chamber and community involvement thus providing a positive social and economic impact in the Orion area.

Community Beautification or Preservation Award: Don Gindhart, owner, 51 North Brewing Company

The Community Beautification or Preservation Award is presented to a chamber member in good standing who demonstrates excellence in sustainable practices to preserve, maintain and improve the attractiveness of the community. 2014 award sponsor Paul's Carpet Shine.

Entrepreneur of the Year: Andrea Rank, owner, Crates Coffee House

This award is presented to a chamber member in good standing that is the founder, owner, CEO or President of a compnay. They demonstrate a high level of entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, perseverance, creativity and determination to be successfu. They also contribute to the future growth of businesses in the Orion area. 2014 award sponsor First Merit Bank.

Economic Impact: Christian Mills, owner, Mills Real Estate Ventures and partner, Legacy LO

This award is presented to a chamber member in good standing that makes a positive economic impact in the Orion area in the areas of jobs and/or opportunities or advancing new industry in the area or revitalizing a sector of the community. They contribute to the positive impact on the live, work, play theme in the Orion area. 2014 award sponsor Liberty Way Realty.
