Dear Educator:

On Friday, May 8, 2015 the Towson University Dance Company (TUDC) is pleased to present a Special School Matinee performance for students grades K-12.  Last year, over 900 people attended this free event, and the numbers are continually growing.

The spring 2015 matinee highlights TUDC in Interludes – a series of works exploring the various human chapters of comedy, beauty, adversity, and joy.  Concert guest choreographers includes:

• Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell
  TUDC Artistic Director and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Former Principal
• Alia Kache
  Ailey II Rehearsal Director and Renegade Performance Group Co-founder  
• Nancy Romita
  The Moving Company Founder and TU Faculty
  
• Vincent E. Thomas
  VTDance Artistic Director and TU Faculty

The total performance time is no longer than one hour and takes place at Stephens Hall Theater, located on the east side of campus in the 7900 block of York Road.  Admission is FREE!  Groups wishing to eat on campus should contact University Dining Services to inquire about access to a Newell Dining seating area.

Groups must provide their own transportation.  Metered lots are available for cars and vans.  (Please use the pay and display visitor parking on the first floor of Glen Garage or in lot 24). Bus parking is not available, but busses may unload students at the theater entrance, where university greeters are present. Please note that there are NO make-up days in the event of bad weather.

Please share this information with fellow educators as reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Reservations are due on Friday, April 17th.  After receiving your reservation form, we send you a confirmation email.  One week prior to the concert, you receive an Education Packet, including a program and valuable dance literature, to help prepare your students for their dance experience at Towson University.
