EFT Core Skills II with
Trainer George Faller

This event has been cancelled. Please contact Bonnie Lister for further details.

Welcome back for the final week-long Core Skills Advanced Training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). George Faller returns in September for the continuation of the training that began in April 2016, when we focused on Stage 1 of EFT. Individuals participating in this second week have completed the first 4 days of EFT Core Skills Advanced Training (either in April in New Orleans or at another EFT Core Skills training). George will be joined by Karen Giunta, Certified EFT Supervisor, and EFT Supervisor Candidates and Certified EFT Therapists from the Louisiana EFT Community to continue to facilitate a safe learning experience.

The focus of this week will be Stage 2 - Restructuring, and Stage 3 - Consolidation. We will be delving into the next two change events in EFT: Withdrawer Re-engagement and Pursuer Softening. All didactic and experiential exercises will help you learn what makes EFT unique from other couples therapy models. The final day of the training will present Stage 3 and Special Topics. This week is worth 24 continuing education credits.

The four-day workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 27 through Friday, September 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The training will be held in Room 422 on the fourth floor of the Tulane School of Social Work, located at 127 Elk Place.

Video Case Presentation
For individuals who have not yet provided a video or audio presentation of their work, this will be your turn to do so.  Please come prepared with a 10-15 minute segment of your work on a zip drive or dvd, along with questions about your process for implementing the model, and how we can assist your learning.  Please contact Karen Giunta, kgiuntalmft@gmail.com, if you have any questions about this part, or have any difficulty with taping clients.  The schedule of video case presentation will be setup on the first day in September.
