What is Chapter Success Meeting (CSM)?

The CSM provides an opportunity for LT & Support Team members in our area to get to know one another and share their experiences, good and bad, for better success.

Is attendance mandatory?

CSM attendance is strongly encouraged.  It will make your job as an LT or Support member that much easier as you will learn from the successes and mistakes of others.  It will also give you guidance on best practices and provide a sounding board for your chapter successes and management issues.

Which Leadership Team members attend?

Typically the President, Vice-President and Secretary/Treasurer attend, although from time to time we will strategically invite other support team members to discuss specific topics.  This meeting is open to all members, so feel free to bring along any member you feel would receive value from the discussion.

Are other chapters participating in the meetings?

The majority of all our BNI Greater Los Angeles chapters participate in the Chapter Success Meeting.  We have found that the strongest chapters in geographic areas have had consistent attendance at CSMs and use it as a tool for greater success.  If LT members meet each other at CSMs it makes it easier to refer potential members to each other’s chapters when there is an overlap.  Giver’s Gain® works—and you can expect your chapter to be more successful!

What topics are discussed at the forums?

Chapter growth, Membership Committee effectiveness, Visitor Host practices, Education Coordinator topics, training promotion, Mentoring, Leadership Team selection, chapter awards, and many more.  The topics are determined based on the time of year or what chapters are experiencing in the particular region.  If you have topics you would like discussed at the forum, please contact your Director.

Why would I want to help other chapters, which are my competition?

When chapters communicate with each other, chapters become stronger.  Remember: Givers Gain®.
